Katheryn graduated UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Neuroscience and joined the Cohen Lab as a research technician in 2025. Previously, she worked as a research assistant in Dr. Alisa Wolberg’s lab studying the role of plasma proteins and plasma protein-immune cell interactions in COVID-19 pathophysiology. Currently, she is investigating the effects of environmental toxicants on TDP-43- and tau-mediated neurodegeneration. Outside of the lab, Katheryn enjoys playing with her cat, making sculptures, and doing archery.
